Regretibly, another famous man has been lost this week. Saterday Billy Mays, the voice behind so many infomertials, died in his sleep from an aparent head wound. Though many people have not actualy purchased one of his products, many have seen them. May he rest in peace along side all the others lost this summer.

There have been too many well known deaths recently.
David Caradine took everyone by shock with his aparent suicide. I have enjoyed his roles and his character and was greatly saddened by the worlds loss of him.

At my school, last semester a student commited suicide. I sat next to him in a class and he was always quiet and respectful. It was a loss to the school and the community. But that is what happenes at a school with the highest suicide rate of any in the state. This summer however, another student was taken from us in an automobile accident. He was driving home after a volonteer activity and was hit head on by an 18wheeler. I also had a class with this student and I was to work closely with him next year. The fraturnity that had made him a bother was devistated and came together even more closely for his family. Both students were a huge loss to the school, and nothing can fill that gap.

Ed Mcmahon was lost to the world on Wednesday, and though I have only heard him narate one film (Disterbia, 1955) I am saddened by his loss. Though his voice will live on in all.

The morning of Thursday the 25, found Ferra Fawcett fassed on after bateling cancer and working so hard to show the world how bad it could be, but also that you could fight. She is an inspiration to many, including myself. And the world is a little bit more empty for the loss of her.

Lastly, I hope, is Michael Jackson. I do not know him personaly and have only what is told in newspapers to go off of, so I chose not to judge him. I know that there are people who hate him for what he may have done, and those that love him despite those same things. He was a human being, and he deserves to be morned. Let us hope he is remembered for the good he has done in his life.

And so, I guess I will respect life that much more for the losses this summer and all those lost in the past and those we will lose. Cherish any and all.
